Nicaragua

Fábrica Avanza Estelí is located in Estelí, Nicaragua and began production in Fall of 2016. Originally started by Friends of Families United in partnership with StoveTeam, the factory was purchased in 2019 by Elida Olivas one of the factory’s longtime staff people.

Despite difficult economic times in Nicaragua in recent years, the factory Avanza continues providing local employment opportunities through smart partnerships with local tamale makers. Plus, Elida has designed some of the most beautiful Ecocina stoves we know of!
