Available Now: StoveTeam International’s Cookbook, “Smoke, The Flavor Of Guatemala”

StoveTeam International is excited to announce the release of their special edition cookbook, "Smoke, The Flavor Of Guatemala". This book celebrates the flavor and culture of Guatemala while illustrating the global issue of open-fire cooking. By promoting and distributing this cookbook, we hope that many more people learn about the devastating human and environmental damage caused by open-fire cooking and will support StoveTeam International’s efforts to eradicate the problem in Central America.

Enjoy over 70 recipes from local cooks in Guatemala and stories of StoveTeam and the families whose kitchens and homes were transformed with the addition of StoveTeam's fuel-efficient cookstoves.

This book will teach you about SMOKE and the devastating human health and environmental crises created by open-fire cooking and how that affects all of us. This is the story of how one grandmother, Nancy Hughes, found a solution to provide safe, affordable, fuel-efficient cookstoves.

This is a story of joy! In it we share recipes that highlight the agricultural and culinary bounty of Guatemala. We tell of the cooks and families who cultivate, collect and prepare their meals, passing knowledge through food from generation to generation.

And finally, this is a story about you... How the potential step you take today can bring a positive impact to our world. How together we can make a difference. We hope you enjoy this collection of recipes, stories and images that show the beauty that is Guatemala.
