Notice to Our Supporters:
Regarding Our Charity Navigator Listing
We want to make our supporters aware that Charity Navigator does not currently display the most recent financial information for StoveTeam International.
Although we have filed our IRS Form 990s every year as required, the IRS has experienced ongoing technical issues that prevent these filings from appearing in its public database. Because Charity Navigator pulls its data directly from the IRS system, our page there does not yet reflect our up-to-date financials.
The IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service has confirmed that these posting delays are outside of our control and that organizations cannot request manual uploads. However, our most recent and complete IRS filings are available on the following public databases:
We remain fully committed to transparency and accountability. If you have any questions or would like to receive a copy of our latest Form 990 directly, please contact us at info@stoveteam.org.
Thank you for your continued trust and support.

Transparency Policies
StoveTeam International is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization with Tax ID 42-1757328, under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. StoveTeam International seeks to be transparent in its financial operations by making the following information publicly available. It is our goal to be good stewards of the funding we receive and upfront in our plans and the direction of StoveTeam International. In doing so we uphold the following values and procedures:
Regular review of current financial statements and reviews of form 990s by the board prior to filing.
Publicly available records of financial information, such as a copy of our application for tax-exemption, yearly IRS Form 990s, and annual reports.
Sound financial management policies to ensure accountability, monthly reviews of all transactions, and board oversight of internal policies.
Maintenance of budgets for each project and volunteer trip that take every expense into account, both projected before the trip and reconciled after the trip.
Honest communications and solicitation materials. Truthful and clear communications with donors about how their donations have been used or will be used.
A conflict of interest policy that all staff and board review and maintain regularly.
Transparent review of all expenditures, expense policies such as a travel expense policy.
Appropriate and timely responses to requests for copies of financial reports, as required by the IRS public disclosure requirements.
